This was the first wedding I got to do with my internship! I was so excited and I learned so much. I think the most important thing that I learned was not to forget the batteries to the flash in the car. Especially when the car is 30 minutes away. Well, live and learn I guess, huh? I got some pictures without the flash though. I'm very excited for the upcoming weddings this summer and can't wait to see what else there is to learn! :)

My really good friend Amanda is a model and I have more pictures of her than anyone could imagine. She told me that she was entering her pictures into a competition for FORD modeling and wanted to get another photoshoot in. We did a little hour shoot just down the road from her house. Internship :)

I was lucky enough to get an internship with an amazing photographer, Jennifer Brown. During the time as her intern I am going with her to some of her sessions and learning so much each time. During the sessions I get to take some pictures of my own which is really cool. I'm having such a good time and I'm so grateful that I get to have this experience! :)

Finally!

So, I've never taken a photography class before I got into my second year at UNC Charlotte. When I was starting my sophomore year I was an education major but I was taking Photo Media 1 because I wanted to minor in art. By the end of the semester I completely fell in love with photography and changed it to my major immediately. I started as pre-art and my portfolio just got accepted into the art program. Photography was always a hobby of mine growing up but I never thought I could actually make a career out of it. I decided to give it a shot because I would rather spend my life doing something I love rather than struggling and doing something I despise. Here is some of my work from my Photo Media 1 class:
