I just wanna be a big girl!!

Here's a little personal blog post for you guys today! I really just need to vent a bit, haha.

Many of you know that I'm a server. Let me just say that I am SO OVER IT! Don't get me wrong, I love meeting new people everyday and talking to my guests about random things, but really.. serving people all day, everyday is getting really old. I want more than anything to just be a photographer full time. To be completely honest, as much as I want to leave my serving job, I'm scared. I think it might just be time to take that leap of faith and do it. I mean the worst thing that could happen is I would have to go back and take a second job, right? If anyone reading this has any words of wisdom or advice please share with me! =) I would be beyond grateful. Thanks for listening to my little vent sesh.

And cause we know that every post is a little bit better with a picture, here's one from a rehersal dinner that just makes me giggle ;)

Ashleigh and Gabe! {Married}

Ashleigh and Gabe's wedding was a blast! I was with Jennifer for this one and we had so much fun with everyone. The wedding party was awesome and so helpful, and definitely party animals when it came reception time! :)

The ceremony was held at a beautiful chuch in Salisbury and the reception was at the Depot. It was such a neat location for a reception and I would love to shoot there again! Here are some pictures from their day..

Oh and p.s- I totally know what band I want to play at my wedding now! The Chris Lane Band was at this wedding and they were SO awesome! I'll be hitting you guys up when it's my time ;)

Finally Married!!

 So, this was on the way to the reception and we were following behind the trolly. I was literally standing in the car and popping out of the sunroof while taking these next two pictures. Check out the video Jennifer got on her blog!

Ashleigh {Bridal}

Okay, I have been dyingggg to post these bridal portraits. I just love them so much! Ashleigh looked absolutely stunning when we had this session with Jennifer in February. She looked even more amazing (if you could believe it) at her wedding yesterday! Here are some of her bridal portraits.

Rachel & Jeffrey {Engaged}

These two have known each other basically their whole lives. Rachel had been friends with Jeffrey's sister throughout the years growing up. The two had always known each other but thoughts of them dating weren't even in their minds. Life went on and they both went off to college.. coincidentally, the same college. So there it was.. they ran into each other on campus and it was love at first... i mean second, third?.. sight :) Adorable, right?

I was along for the ride on this session with my mentor, Jennifer Brown. We went to Blowing Rock, NC and it was a BLAST :) Even though I've lived in NC for almost 5 years now, I still haven't seen much of the state. So this was my first time going to the mountains.. it was absolutely gorgeous! I would be wayyy to scared to live and drive around the everyday, but it is a beautiful place to visit. Happy Birthday, Luke!

This little guy seriously can just make your heart melt with one giggle! Yesterday was his 1st birthday and we celebrated with some cake and pictures :) Most of the cake ended up on the wall, but that okay cause it was still really yummy. Wanna hear something really awesome??? Luke took his first steps while we were in the middle of our session. He just got up and started chasing the cat! Crazy right?! I'm so happy that I was able to get his first steps on camera for his Momma! Here are some pictures from the day.. it's totally normal if you have the urge to hug your computer while looking at these ;)
